Update Your Status the SAFE Way - By Voice!
If there's one thing that drives me nuts, it's watching someone text while they drive down the road. I'm not blameless here either... sometimes I need to quickly reply to a message and, while I usually pull over to do so, or wait until I'm at a stoplight, it's not ALWAYS possible, right? What if you're on the highway?
So, that's where the Dragon Dictation iPhone app comes in (free at the time of this post). I've used this for a while, and it's amazingly accurate. Simply press the record button, talk into it and it transcribes your voice to text.
Here's the cool thing, though. They just released some INCREDIBLE improvements to this app yesterday. In 'the old days' you had to copy the text from the app, then paste it into your text or mail client. Kind of a pain really, but now that's changed. All you have to do now is tap the text or email button and the text is already there in your message when the text or email application opens. EVEN BETTER, they added Twitter and Facebook functionality to the app, so you can tweet your tweeps and update your facebook friends just as easily!!
Yep, it's that simple, and free, and oh-so-cool to be able to keep in touch by voice, instead of endangering everyone around you!
